Monthly budget for 1 adult 2 teens

This might be how long is a piece of string type question but humour me…

I am looking to separate from DH (not divorce yet) I would like to rent with my two secondary school age children and trying to work out finances. We live south coast.

After rent, bills, food and petrol how much would you personally need to live each month? Kids will walk to school, they both do some clubs (and have active social lives)

so either, daily, weekly or monthly how much would you spend on just living and costs?

what would be the minimum amount you would need to be carefully comfortable?

Minimum for me would be £500, plus whatever costs you need for the activities and perhaps a couple of days out. That would be after savings though for yourself and DCs, and savings for a holiday, so all in maybe £1200 a month minimum.

Thank you - £500 feels really low to me, I’m used to spending a bit frivolously I think.
