Lump on my dogs stomach

I have a four year old dog and this evening I have noticed a lump on her stomach.it’s really red, doesn’t seem to bother her but she doesn’t like me trying to touch it. Will contact the vet in the morning but just wondered if anyone had any ideas what it could be? Will post the photos but I know they don’t always upload straight away. It’s hard to get a good photo but I would imagine is about 2cm wide and about 1cm high.Doesn’t look like an insect bite to me. Thank you.

Could be a seed that’s become imbedded, which can be rather irritating and could be infected . If she is fine, then like you said wait until Monday and pop her to the vets .

She does absolutely love running through the long grass in the fields at the moment and comes out covered in grass seeds (& ticks Confused) so that is a definite possibilities, thank you.

My cat has a big lump on her head after I removed a tick. Could be similar.

Hm thank you. Couod be tick related, there are lots where we live at the moment but with an embedded one she has had before it looked different to this. Will see if I can see anything tick like!

Sudocrem or Germalene.... As a dc my ddog was allergic to grass seed.. So poor ddog always stunk of Germalene! Worked though...

One of mine had one that looked exactly like that. Best the vet could come up with was a slightly allergic reaction to a long-gone tick (never thought of using Sudocrem, but will now!)

I now spend more time looking for ticks after walks than actually walking 🙄.
