Did you know that you came hide purchases from Alexa?

*Can't hide

And that your kids can just ask what your last purchases were and it will tell them?!? I've always had all my notifications off about delivery orders etc and all my settings for purchases set to not offer updates.

I've looked online thinking I'd got it wrong somehow as it's a crazy privacy issue. But it's true.

Ask Alexa what you bought last. I'm thinking of getting rid of Amazon.

Isn't that the point of having her linked to your account?

Just link her to a throwaway account you don't shop on, if it bothers you but personally my purchases arent that interesting. It's not like I'm ordering class A drugs.

Well not really. It's linked because that's the way it was sold. I don't want my children to know what Christmas presents they've got and no, I'm not buying class A drugs but I do have sex. And no, my 10 year old doesn't need to know what brand of lube I like or what other personal items I buy. It only does it for the main account holder.

I also can't link a second account as I use it for music mostly which is through my prime account. I shouldn't have to pay twice.

I think you should be able to have option for private purchasing information to stay private.

You can stop her from announcing stuff though like saying what is in packages. It's a setting in the app.

She also adds random things to your shopping list when she mishears you. Ours has Will Smith on it and no one remembers why.

But my DC are older teens/ young adults so are logged into my amazon account anyway so they can also shop. None of us can buy anything that needs to be a secret!
