Rosacea made worse by treatment?!

GP prescribed me metronidazole gel as first line treatment. I’ve had mild symptoms for about a month.

After a week of gelling twice a day, the tip of my nose has broken out beyond belief. It’s full of little spots and pustules and really unsightly.

help!

Try Soolantra, you can get it from online pharmacies. Metronidazole did nothing for mine, but Soolantra was amazing. All depends on the cause of the rosacea.

I was on a prescription of roaccutane from a fancy London dermatologist. It made my skin 10 times worse. I've done much better myself just using gentle products.

Sometimes the treatments can make it a bit worse before it gets better. Metrogel make my skin all dry and flakey and soolantra has been much more effective.

Another one recommending Soolantra, sorted my horrendous rosacea out. I apply a very thin layer (less than a pea sized amount) to my cheeks every morning before SPF, make up etc.

You’re supposed to use it and then let your skin have breaks in between prescriptions, but I’m too scared of breaking out again. I get mine via the GP on repeat prescription. A tube lasts me about 6 months.

I think I’ll contact my GP and ask for soolantra.

Thanks everyone.

Do we all have different triggers? I’ll have to google common triggers.
