Party Dilemma any advice welcome

We have a party every year. My Dh called his cousin to see if she and her partner will be coming and she said she can't because she is has an issue with another guest I will call her Emma.
She says every time Emma's husband is not around she sidles up to cousins dh and gets very close and over chatty (they don't know each other). Cousin was really upset about it last year apparently.
I am not close to Emma's but very good friends with her father and invited her and her Dh because my friend is on his own and it's mostly couples. Emma was not good company last year because she was having a drama about something trivial and spent a lot of time in another room with dh and df so I am not fussed if she isn't there.
How can I tactfully uninvite Emma without upsetting her father? Shall I tell him the truth and ask him to have word they are very close.
Thanks for any advice!

Hmm, i'm actually not sure you can, though others might disagree. If you haven't seen the flirtatious behaviour yourself, it's kind of gossip and hearsay really, and I am not sure you should rescind an invite for that reason. If I was Emma, or her dad, I would be extremely hurt if you did that.

If you do feel strongly enough to do this, you have to have the courage of your convictions I think, and be honest. But I wouldn't expect the friendship with Emma, or her dad, to survive it.....

You can’t uninvite her , that’s impossibly rude. Just don’t invite her next time
