RECS: Where to buy school uniform?

DD(5) is starting school in August and I’m starting to think about getting things organised. I have NO idea where to get uniform from, where it’s decent quality that’ll last but also good value for money.
I’ve heard good things about M&S but have also seen threads where their stock is rubbish just now and obviously you can’t buy online. I’d just like to get it sorted relatively early so we can enjoy our 7 week holidays without me stressing about uniforms!

I've not found any benefit to buying M&S or Next over supermarkets. If you haven't bought by the end of July you will struggle for sizes everywhere.

Wherever is the most convenient for you to get to and sells the relevant colours.
My daughters mostly came from Sainsbury's,Asda and Matalan and the quality was fine.

I've found sainsbury's TU clothing range the best.
Often have 20%/25% sales too.

Next trousers were always the best fit for our 2, but their shorts and polos came from Tesco or Asda.

No choice now that they’re at comp, Italy from the local supplier 🙄

I get from all over. I find Asda best for polo shirts, next better for leggings (they can wear leggings instead of a skirt) and sainsburys better for summer dresses.

I used to get my son's polo shirts, sweaters and trousers from Asda. I did a click and collect order before they had even broken up from school for summer otherwise it's so hard getting sizes.

I’ve got all our trousers/shirts/plain black jumpers from there - all new/nearly new (can’t tell they’ve been worn at all)
