Posting here for traffic.

No other symptoms, I just ache, really ache. I've not been exercising or doing anything I don't usually do.

I'm really worried. I have aches in every single part of me

How old are you ? I had similar problems before starting HRT mine vanished pretty quickly after I started using HRT.

Puttyhead · 05/06/2025 22:46

Sounds like the onset of flu or some other similar virus 🙁

I’m perimenopausal and have very achy joints, my ankles are the worst , I’ve tried different shoes but I just ache all over and I’m putting it down to this. I’m worse when my periods are happening.

IWillJustSayThis · 05/06/2025 22:51

COVID?

Puttyhead · 05/06/2025 22:52

I had thyroid cancer last year. Had the all clear since. Any symptoms of anything now worry me

Puttyhead · 05/06/2025 22:52

Have the aches come on suddenly? As in the past few hours or days?

Cryingatthegym · 05/06/2025 22:56

I got like this when my iron was really low. Could it be that?

categorychaos · 05/06/2025 22:56

Has it come on very suddenly (so like flu) or gradually? If you’re not on HRT I’d be inclined ex to think hormones. I ached everywhere when I was perimenopausal - still get twin he’s now. Also how are your bloods? Maybe B12 deficiency?

Puttyhead · 05/06/2025 22:58

@CagneyNYPD1 yes, very suddenly last few days. I've had several hot baths to try to help. But no ease

Covid

Lots of it about at the moment, the latest strain.

Puttyhead · 05/06/2025 23:00

@HappyNewTaxYear I'm getting a test tomorrow to confirm either way

Very achy and painful back & neck was my first (and worst) symptom of Covid

lostinthesunshine · 05/06/2025 23:00

Probably flu, but worth getting in touch with your endocrinologist to set your mind at ease.

buffyandspikeandfaith · 05/06/2025 23:01

Vitamin D? I had the worst leg pain when mine was low, my bones hurt

I’m no doctor but that sounds like a virus to me. But there is no harm
in making a GP appointment to discuss HRT and your thyroid levels. I had half my thyroid removed at 48 and then went on to HRT at 49. At 51, I now feel better than I have in years after feeling shattered for a long, long time.

Gardenbumblebee · 05/06/2025 23:03

I had a weird virus last year where every single muscle in my body hurt. Even hurt to move my eyes or take a deep breath. No other symptoms like runny nose or cough. Lasted a few days then went.

CagneyNYPD1 · 05/06/2025 23:04

The Vitamin D is also a good shout

Freesiasforthewin · 05/06/2025 23:07

Covid

I get exactly this every time I have it….

I'm 50 and it's the same for me, definitely peri rather than covid

iwentjasonwaterfalls · 05/06/2025 23:22

Have you ever had glandular fever? I have it currently, 6ish weeks in and I still frequently just hit a wall and everything aches like crazy and the fatigue is overwhelming. Could be worth a blood test to rule it out?

Sonolanona · 05/06/2025 23:26

My whole family have just had similar... we think probably Covid again (but didn't test) Started with whole body aches, then fever and snots. Felt dire and the cold part has lasted weeks.

CreedMungbean · 05/06/2025 23:32

vitamin D deficiency??
