Preteens braces private treatment

What sort of prices are you paying?
I'm looking for a ballpark price for our preteen in London/South East. We've known for a couple of years that DC would likely need braces and they have been monitored at our nearest NHS orthodontist for a while. We are considering going privately because the NHS waiting list is so long.
Our NHS Dentist does do braces privately but won't give us even so much as a price range without us going along for a private consultation first. I'd just like an idea of whether or not it would be ridiculously expensive or would be within our reach.

NW 3k five years ago top and bottom train tracks and two sets of night retainers after 15 months when train tracks removed. Only for minimal defects however these return if night retainers not worn. Came back from first term of Uni and I could tell they had not been wearing their retainers religiously. Started wearing them again and teeth aligned again. As I said their teeth were almost straight anyway.

If you have to have more work it will cost a lot more. Some of their friends have got the NHS treatment after they turned 18 years old because they were on the waiting list from 14 years old. London will likely have more options but may cost more too.

We did the 0% finance no point taking out of savings if this is an option no price difference for this financial product at the orthodontist we used.

Oh our waiting list isn't too bad here in Cheshire then, 18 months - 2 years, DD has been on since she was 11, poor love definitely qualifies!
