Nappies/formula holiday in France

We are going abroad for the first time with DS13 months to France.

I’m debating packing our own nappies vs buying when we’re there (going for two weeks but we do have a generous baggage allowance)? What have people done before? I’ve heard nappies are more expensive.

Also what are experiences of milk there? I’ve heard it’s mainly UHT which I’m not sure DS will drink. Is it worth taking formula just in case?

There is fresh milk in the cold section of any supermarket. You don't need to take formula.
My nappies days are long gone, so I don't recall the price when we went but check the prices here https://www.auchan.fr/bebe/couches-toilette-de-bebe/couches/ca-n0805?redirect_keywords=couches
