Wonderful. I’ve never seen him live. Gutted.

I had tickets to see him perform in Lisbon about 15 years ago. It was an all day concert and he was due on at 10pm. Come midnight there was still no sign and we were knackered so left. Got to our hotel balcony which overlooked the stadium (albeit from a distance) just as he went on! So we sorta saw him live, just not quite!!

@MrsLargeEmbodied Found programme 4 on catch up! He’s a very articulate introspective guy!

Tripthelightfantastical · 01/06/2025 16:36

Are they all on iplayer?

spanieleyes · 01/06/2025 17:14

Yes, and Sky On Demand

I'm now watching.. Absolutely adore him. My Mum bought me a ticket in 2023 to see him in Hyde Park. I went with friends. I'll never forget towards the end of the concert. There was a family with a small child in front of us. Bruce and Steve Van Zandt were talking about the power being turned off last time... They then said "F.. K THAT IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN!!" The mother in front of us went " OOOOH" and clapped her hands over the child's ears!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I saw him last summer (I was very fortunate to be given some free (very good) seats by a friend who works in the music industry) and it was like a religious experience. I wasn’t sure he’d live up the hype, but I was blown away along with everyone I attended with.

The Boss, for all time 🎸

I was at that gig, Paul McCartney was on stage with him, was incredible but I still feel a little short changed Grin

Must have been a different gig. We were at Thursday Hyde Park... Perhaps he said it at both HP gigs!!
I left the school playground at 1pm. Station, London, Hyde Park, Hotel, Station, home for a shower and then back to school!!
I remember walking down a deserted platform very early on Friday morning at Liverpool Street singing Born In The USA at the top of my voice I then saw a head suddenly appear in a window. It was a very surprised buffet trolley lady!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Genuinely jaw dropping when I first saw him (1981). We had read the stories, seen the clips on TV (Rosalita 1978 and No Nukes 1980) but seeing was believing. I've seen a lot of shows but his never let me down. All too big now as he plays stadia but I went to the indoor shows recently. He is 75 and he and I aren't getting younger. If that was my last show it was a hell of a way to go out. 75 yrs old, 2 hours 30 plus and he owned it.

BlueEyedBogWitch · 03/06/2025 21:54

DH was at one of the 1975 concerts and has loved him ever since. I’ve seen him three times and absolutely still would 😂

@Elderflower14you could be right and I may be merging a couple of shows together, have been to a few Hyde Park ones!

Loved these shows last week.

The Anfield gigs he's just played were amazing.
