Positive experiences of Evorel Conti?

Posted in Women's Health, but hoping for more responses here....

After four years of asking for HRT, I was finally prescribed yesterday. I have had no periods for around four years but meno symptoms were showing no signs of tailing off. The worst (for me) being mood swings, weight gain and cripplingly sore joints. I get the odd hot flush but I can deal with that.

GP finally agreed that risks outweigh benefits for me (managed hypertension and a heart 'episode' in 2020) and has given me Evorel Conti.
I obviously did a quick google when I got home and read a lot of posts from people on it complaining about low mood, bloating, bleeding etc. I know everyone is different but I had been feeling so buoyant - like there was light at the end of the tunnel - and it left me feeling deflated. So does anyone have some good experiences? Particularly around joint pain?

And as an aside, I had been taking Vit D and Turmeric for joint pain and was starting to get an inkling that it was helping. GP wouldn't get into a conversation about supplements and said that she wasn't able to advise. As ever Google throws up conflicting advice on whether it's ok to take Turmeric with HRT so any advice on that would also be really welcome.

ps. On day two now and currently full of rage. Hoping this is 'adjustment'?!

Sadly no, I tried it and didn't do a thing for me. But that's just me. I'm now out of that horrible pre menopause, No more flushes. My joints can be a bit stiff but that's it. No mood swings, seating etc. I guess it depends on how old your are. I'm 57.

I felt amazing on these patches on the oestrogen only days, but the combi days turned me into a raging monster 🤦🏼‍♀️

The good news is that a friend of mine has been on them for 2 years and they have been amazing for her. Don’t be disheartened if you don’t get on with them, there are lots of options for hrt - I now take oestrogen gel and progesterone tablets and they are great for me.

They have been life changing for me - my low mood was awful.
