Trying to book a holiday from Belfast to basically anywhere I can in the hope of securing a nice trip away for us (2 adults, 2 kids aged 15 and 12) I can only go July and august. I’ve tried those cook, TUI, first choice but unfortunately they are coming in very expensive. Is there somewhere I haven’t tried or do I just need to accept that a week away in the sun in very expensive lol

Jet2 Holidays have hundreds of holidays going from Belfast and starting around £1700 for the four of you.

We’ve used them for the last few years and cannot fault them at all.

That will be very tight
for 3 adults one child
inc flights to a resort
During school holidays

Unless you do air BnB and self cater

but any availability now will be limited and won’t be be best

There couple of places on TUI that look good. Generally you need to book a year plus in advance to get the good deals. When you need to be back by? I would look at landing home as late as you can for the best prices. If you can come back on the 1st, 2nd September the prices are cheaper.

Could you check flights to s few destinations and see if you can get a hire car and air b&b or Appartment for a reasonable amount. Off beaten track you should get something for less than £1k. Given how close we are to summer might be difficult to get good flights st right price though.

Barrhead Travel are independent and always have deals from Belfast, they're on Facebook and definitely worth checking. I've booked with them quite a lot and would highly recommend.

If you can hold your nerve and wait to the last minute Easyjet can have cheap holidays, we got a great deal for Tenerife last July (from Belfast for a week). Appreciate it will depend on kids ages though and mine are younger

Rubbish. There are hundreds of holidays listed on Jet2 for late July / early August, 150+ of which are under £3000 for a family of four.

OP can you narrow it down to dates / location / facilities / board basis etc? Happy to have a look for you!

sillyfrilly · 30/05/2025 17:39

Aww thank you very much. So kind. I literally can do all July or August. Any destination (except Tunisia) preferably all inclusive if possible or even breakfast budget 3 at max for 10 days

See whether final price correlates to price “from”

and whether is actually nice

all inc for three adults and one child for 7-10 days for no more than £700 per person including flights in peak season will be dire

CitCatCassie · 30/05/2025 17:50

This was from a quick look at easyJet so August might be cheaper

They tried to overcharge us. Actually said ‘I have access to the sane system and if the agent does it cheaper then they are paying for your holiday’ got it cheaper going direct.

OP try Jet2.

When do you children break up though?

OP, please discount all inclusive for this budget.

what about an apart hotel? Self catering facilities, but then option of breakfast / lunch etc?

if you’re not bothered about having a nicely positioned room and not 5 star and happy to take graveyard flights… you could get a £2-3k weeks holiday in an apart hotel for 3 adults and one child for 7 days.

Zero availability with Jet for all of July and August for 2 kids, 2 adults and leaving from Belfast

availability may also be your issue op
