Urgent - can anyone help locate lost toy today? [Crown Hotel, Stone, Stafford]

Sorry I dont think this is the right place to post this request. MNHQ please can you move the thread for me if not?

A much loved snow tiger toy has been inadvertently left behind in a room at the Crown Hotel in Stone.

If any Mumsnet member is nearby and able and willing to call in at the hotel to ask if they found the toy after checkout time this morning, I'd be so grateful.

I'm really sorry there is no photo as its over 15 years old and very precious to the youngest family member it belongs to.

Really hoping someone lives nearby as the hotel isn't answering phone calls or email 😞

Just a quick update, the hotel eventually answered however they say they still have to speak with their housekeeping team and they cannot disturb the guest currently in the same room so it's a wait and see situation unfortunately 😞

I'm not sure why its not possible to ask the current guest if they've seen the toy, I'm still hoping snow tiger will be found.

They probably want to wait until housekeeping are going in anyway as it doesn’t look great saying they need to look for a snow tiger that they might not have noticed while they were cleaning. I hope he turns up.

Thank you, it does seem a bit odd as surely 🤔 you'd notice it when changing the bed linen over, I am just hoping we will get an update sooner rather than later .

It would basically be an admission that they hadn’t cleaned the room properly so they need to wait until they’d vacated/need service to check under beds etc.

If it was in the bed and is white they could have just bundled it up and sent it to the laundry (we've had the same issue multiple times and thankfully always got the mainly white toy back). Fingers crossed fir you.

Update!! It's been found by hotel team!! Family member going to collect it tomorrow 😀 so relieved!! Xx
