Sweets you hated as a child

And lastly not so much a sweet.. Lucky bags they promised so much and delivered so little.

I love Parma violets but so many seem disgusted by them 😆 they are the only sweets in those ‘swivels assortment tins’ that I like.

Extra stong mints/imperial mints
Curly wurly
All boiled sweets
Coffee ones in the ones that were like minerals but all different.
Unfizzy cola bottles (why?!)

All of those chewy foam type ones. Pear drops. Flying saucers. Licorice. And worst of all, anything aniseed or banana-flavoured. I love Parna Violets!

Chocolate limes and the peanut things covered in hard caramel.

Parma Violets obviously.

Anything liquorice.

Foam sweets.

I also don’t like jelly sweets that don’t have the right texture. I like them chewy and firm but for my teeth to go through them easily; I don’t like it when I have to yank at them or they’re too wobbly.

Licorice allsorts - disgusting!!!

Pear drops - tasted like nail polish remover.

Those round lollys that taste of chalk!

Yes the swivells ones, who actually eats them? We always end up with loads after Halloween

Pacers! Polos - last resort sweet.

Jazzies (the little chocolate buttons with 100s and 1000s on). Especially the white ones. Loved parma Violet's.
