Pink panther chocolate
Love hearts
Round toffee flavour lollipops
And lastly not so much a sweet.. Lucky bags they promised so much and delivered so little.

Parma Violets
Foam shaped sweets - called "skum" sweets in Scandi which is very apt
Salt liquorice
Danish Dog Fart sweets

Spangles
Anything banana flavour
Spearmint Opal Fruits

White mice. Or the fish and chips shapes made of the same "chocolate". Tasted of sick.

Floral gums
Old English Spangles
Foam bananas 🍌

Those soap flavour hearts
Anything aniseed/ liquorice
Rice paper flying saucer things
Chocolate limes can also fuck right off

Flying saucers or any of those ‘paper’ type sweets with a similar texture. Anything coffee or clove flavoured.

These are only delicious when consumed at the same time as a fizzy gummy sweet

I like Parma violets, coffee Revels, Black jacks, liquorice, aniseed balls etc.

I had forgotten Old English Spangles. Loved them!

Spangles. There was always a packet in the selection boxes at Christmas, what a waste of a space!

Parma violets - a cruel joke perpetrated by old people on children.
Edinburgh rock -- disgusting sweet sticks of chalk in cowardly colours.
Creme eggs. Just why? So sickly sweet, they define the word "cloying". As disgusting now as they ever were.

What, not spangles?? The orange ones were amazing, so fruity, and loved the little dent in the middle.

The mainly vile Old English, often loved by Dads & last resort in car :), are what’s mainly recalled I think.

Liquorice - and I still hate it!!

There was one nice(ish) one in the Old English assortment that was a butterscotch , but yeah , the rest were Last Resort sweets

Chocolate was much better back in the day though. We had loads of UK chocolate companies then. They all had their own distinctive flavour.

Rowntree

Mackintosh

Rowntree's Aero had gorgeous chocolate and then Nestle came along and changed it. 😠

Fruit Gums. So hard and hurt your teeth. They all tasted like soap, but the black ones were especially bad..

Hated any sweets with sugar coating and dolly mixtures and jelly babies

They stuck your teeth together! 😬 Much preferred RT's fruit pastilles!
