Black jacks and Parma violets and gob stoppers scared me after almost choking once.

I LOVE Parma violets. My favourite!

but hate Jelly Tots - the coating makes my tongue feel funny, like it’s been covered in anaesthetic.

Those powdery lollipops you get in the swizzles bag. I loved the orange and purple fruity ones but couldn’t stand those white chalky ones.

Fruit gums because they gave me jaw ache and always tasted slightly bitter

Flying saucers, those lollies that were solid not clear (cannot think how to describe them!) and what we called 'horse cakes' the licorich (spelling?) covered in blue or pink stuff. Ugh. Liked other licorich (i know that is not the right spelling!)

I'm adding Fry's Turkish Delight to my list , it was awful . Smelled like roses (I guess) but tasted like bathsoap .
