Could anyone recommend anything? Not a theme park preferably. In the UK.
He is into anything really. No to theme park as I also have a 6 month old.
Thank you!

Ironbridge, some of the museums? Blist's Hill is the largest Victorian style one, with some working shops and a fish and chip shop, and money you can change for 'old money' to spend there, but there are plenty to get to: at that age he might like Ingenuity which is also not so far off, lots of science related water and machinery to do things with. The tile one also has a clay studio that often puts on guided making activities very cheaply.
Just come back from there - I get ever more fond of it, and have got through all the museums, fairly slowly.

Alton towers hotel is great and the water park is great fun without the need to go in the theme park.

Trentham monkey forest.
Burghley water and sculpture park.
Fountains Abbey.
Conkers.

I'm sure there is a zoo where you can stay in a hotel overlooking the African exhibit. Might be worth a Google.

British Ironworks at Oswestry is a great day out.

Roughly where are you, how far can you travel? 6 is a brilliant age as they'll be interested in most things and 6m old still fairly portable. I mean, castles, museums, rockpooling, farm parks, sea front with fair and crazy golf...lots of options really.

Port Lympne. Get accommodation that comes with a golf buggy, it’s super fun whizzing around seeing all the animals after park close
marwell zoo I think do overnight stays too.
