I hope they throw away the key.

Heartbreaking to read, the poor family of Joshlin. I hope they get some answers of what happened to her and if she is still alive.

I’ve been following this too. That poor little girl.

TheQuietestSpace · 29/05/2025 16:41

That poor child. I dread to think.

That poor child. I dread to think.

So do I 😭.

I hope that whatever happened to her it wasn't prolonged and she is at peace and beyond harm now.

OonaStubbs · 29/05/2025 16:44

Why would anyone do this?

smallglassbottle · 29/05/2025 17:22

It's demonic 😢

Pedallleur · 29/05/2025 17:39

Read that. Couldn't believe that it's 2025 not 1625 and a child must be sacrificed to the raingod.

I'm totally fascinated how Kelly was sitting so close to the two other men casually having a chit chat. She seems so unbothered by it all. I wounder what happened when she was interviewed before the courts. £800 is nothing at all!

All 3 should of had seperate trials.

From what I’ve read, Kelly has seemed remarkably calm throughout the whole thing. She admitted she was considering selling her children to a sangoma about a year before she actually did, even detailing that Joshlin was wanted for her green eyes & her skin. Then apparently when people were frantically searching for Joshlin she calmly told a friend “she’s miles away now. On a cargo ship to West Africa”.

I may have missed it, but I’ve not read anything about any of the three showing remorse as you would expect.

The whole thing is just so devastating. I’m not sure why her eye/skin colour is relevant but I don’t know what a sangoma is really. The thing I’m most wondering/hoping is if they will have extended the search into West Africa given that her ‘mother’ said that’s where she is? Although where you’d start with that, I have no idea.

It's highly relevant. Green eyes are rare in a black skin tone. Joshlyn had green eyes, blonde hair and light skinned. She was strikingly beautiful and her eyes/skin/hair colour would seem of interest to the sangoma (which doctor of some type). It's horrific and Kelly's behaviour is most odd!

purplespink · 03/06/2025 18:26

@Hellofreshhsorry I wasn’t saying that it wasn’t relevant, I just meant that I didn’t understand WHY it’s relevant; I know that it has been relevant in this case but it’s not something I understand.

Hellofreshh · 04/06/2025 14:10

@purplepinks okay I see. I guess it's a completely different culture. A lot of old wives tales are still believed in some countries rather than actual facts. It's a very sad case. I hope the truth comes out eventually.
