What do you use ChatGPT / AI for?

I am enjoying asking Chatgpt questions about my medications getting it to explain scientific papers but what practical applications does it really have for me in my everyday life? It seems to be of limited use for the average person but perhaps I am not looking at it right.

What do you use chatgpt and other similar AI for either personally or work wise, if you care to share.

I wrote an email or letter whack it on copilot and out comes a more professional way of saying why the fuck don’t you do your own wankery piece of work instead of giving it to me - type of thing

Yeah one of my friends is a senior type manager and she swears by copilot for making her get out of her own head and stop endlessly softening shit, but instead just giving clear direct instructions to her team. AI as a blow to the patriarchy. I love it.

Same for up and coming managers - there's no hiding behind seniority when literally anyone you manage can look up how stuff works any time.

Thanks for all the ideas everyone, I also appreciate the feedback on the environmental impact and that it is no worse and perhaps better than many other things like streaming.

I use it frequently to speed up/streamline/double check my work. It compiles wordy emails into tables and ensures all formatting is correct and from earliest to latest type thing. Check my reports for gaps, contradictions, or to tighten up the language. Write internal email campaigns, suggest initiatives for work based on parameters I set, review schedules for clashes or gaps. Draft the minutes from meetings. I treat it as an intern so it’s helpful but I don’t put my faith in it 100%

It is quite good for turning notes into professional emails. I've also given it different texts and asked it to synthesise them within a certain word count.

I love it primarily for fashion/make up stuff. The limits are really annoying though, is it worth upgrading or trying another? I assume you have to pay for all of them. So far I think it's maybe worth it
