Anyone here got psioratic arthritis?

I have psoriasis, and stiff legs and balance problems. I had hospital tests 3 years ago for all sorts relating to my mobility but they found nothing sinister. Now I am in doubt as it is getting worse. Anyone relate?

Who did you see and what tests did you have?

You need to ask your GP to refer you to rheumatology.

PsA can be seronegative (which means it doesn't show up in blood tests) and it can be difficult to see on xray / scan. It needs to be diagnosed clinically, by a rheumatologist..

Yes I do. Mine came out of no where. It’s got the arthritis first and then the psoriasis. I’ve been diagnosed just under a year.

My DH has. He has psoriasis first then the arthritis. About 25 years ago it Started off in his feet and got referred to rheumatologist and had a bone scan - in both hands and feet and one knee, one hip and one shoulder. He was given sulphasalazine which has modified it that his pain levels are greatly reduced and only has minor flareups with his psoriasis

My DH has. Tried methotrexate but he couldn’t tolerate it.

Yes I have, diagnosed about 12 years ago, psoriasis was there first for 20+ years then the arthritis followed, starting in my big toes. Keep photos of any red, inflamed or swollen joints to show your GP and get a referral to rheumatology. If it is PSA then the sooner you start treatment the better.
