Do you like it?

What gets on your nerves about it?

Does it work?

No way I hate islands to begin with! I'm cooking not running a class or something 😆 I like seperate rooms! You'll get your food when it's ready I don't need people staring at me while I do it

Our neighbours had this when they bought the house and it didn’t work for them. It was too low to be a useful food prep surface and wasn’t flexible enough when they had other people for dinner, so they had to have another table to cater for that.
They also had beautiful chairs but they ended up gradually being ruined by the cooking residue from being so close to the hob etc. Maybe a higher bar area would be more useful or to save space you could build a banquette backing onto the kitchen units and have a normal table in front of that?

Some fab feedback - thanks all.

Have looked into the banquet style already so may investigate that further.

It never used to be so hard!
