Propranolol?

Does anyone take Propranolol to help with anxiety before eg. public speaking or a presentation?

I'm very anxious about an upcoming event and was considering asking my gp to prescribe it.

What dose do you take and when before the event...reading about it this seems to vary so much.

I have essential tremor and have been talking it for years. It stops my shakes - usually. Have recently gone up from 10 to 40mg as tremor gets worse with age. Only downside is a slight shortness of breath.

@unbalancedBella can I ask if you have normal BP? It's my low bp that's concerning me about using it

Blood pressure? It's in the normal range. Doctor seemed fine with upping the dose. But she did say there's a balancing act between a higher dose and blood pressure getting too low.
