Probably easier to just rent one when you fancy it and split the cost? We have been away in one a few times and its been great fun and not that expensive to rent.

The ownership is different to the registered keeper. I bought a caravan with my ex and when we split up I sold it and gave him half the sale amount. We'd made a bit of a profit so we split it 50/50 just like the purchase price. You need both names on the receipt when you buy it.

I agree, rent one.
