Wonder why they're selling - maybe they're being ditched from itv with the cuts coming

Shushmagic · 22/05/2025 20:31

Downsizing from that shouldn't be a problem!

Well they seem to use mainly volunteers for their C.I.C. Trauma Research UK organisation - even for one to ones (with seriously traumatized people??!!) using CBT type stuff. Briefly engaged with it, I've now run a mile after realising that any organisation or practitioner that attempts to get your to name your trauma and help you "change unhelpful patterns in 40 minutes" can't do much but harm anyone with developmental or complex trauma.

You mean you are shocked at a pair of charlatans having not a clue how to run therapy.

They obviously did very well at the sales when Carpetright and MFI went into administration.

Oh my god, thank you for posting this. It's been suggested by supporting individuals (professionals) that I'm letting my MH issues create paranoia/have difficult to engage tendencies when I've bought up trauma care quality (grifting!)

lastnightthemooncame · 29/10/2025 17:28

Not as though any professionals have suggested paying for their 'groundbreaking therapy'.
I have, however, been signposted to the (low cost support org)

'Trauma Research UK'.

They've been trying to sell it for a couple of years to go and live in the US but not had much luck. It's a lovely house, if chintzy, as others have said, but not many people would want to pay over three million+ for a house at the top of Rochdale. It's actually set off Featherstall Road on a little private lane called..... Speakman Lane! It doesn't show on Google Maps but you can see it (along with a big for sale sign) on Street View.
