Steam wash on washing machine

Just bought a new washing machine and it has a steam wash option.

The manual is a poor translation from … something and isn’t understandable 😂

So can’t someone tell me more about that option? Does it really help remove stains? Do clothes tend to shrink with it?

It’s not a Samsung by any chance? Mine has that function and I use it to wash the cat’s bedding, floor mats etc.

I've just had a new hot point and it's got a steam hygiene button... I've no idea what it does and haven't yet bothered to google.

Sorry, that was no help!

I should have added it’s supposed to aid sanitisation by killing bacteria.

I have one

It's my understanding

If you have a shirt that is clean but smells of sweat

You can put it in the steam wash to freshen it up

It's a limited amount you can place in and it goes not remove dirt

But handy if you want to go out and your favourite top is in the dirty laundry and smells a bit

Mine is relatively fast and comes out dryish

Thank you!

It sounds like it isn’t something I’m going to use in a hurry then 😁😁
Didn’t really investigate as they seem to all have that feature nowadays.
