Has anyone used Pimsleur or Mango Languages to learn a new one?

Hi all, I've decided to do everything I can to avoid Alzheimers due to an increasing family history, so amongst exercising, getting a hearing test etc, I've also decided to learn a new language, namely Egyptian Arabic (new family member speaks it). Very few apps seem to support that language but the 2 more recommended are Pimsleur or MangoLanguage.

Has anyone used either of them before?
I'm truly terrible at languages so I know that it won't be easy, no matter what I study, but if there's one that has been terrible for you or great for you, it would help! TIA.

I got Pimsleur for standard modern Arabic.

i’d done the Duolingo course.

it comes in half hour blocks which I found really hard. You can pause it but it’s primarily like doing an old fashioned Cassetre learn a language.

the Duolingo isn’t great but it’s good for the alphabet.

Thanks Octavia64. I was starting to lean towards mango, so you've added to that evidence - many thanks.
