Anyone booked a very last minute holiday abroad?

Thinking of booking a cheeky last minute for me & DS this Saturday for a week.

Im nervous though about scams or it not being right due to last minute planning.

Looking at all inclusive, short flight time for 5 nights. There’s a few websites but how do you know they are legit and ok?
Eber done this? How was it? Top tips?

What websites are you looking at? If you use a recognised provider like Jet2/Easyjet/Lastminute/BA etc or direct with the hotel and airline then obviously it's going to be OK.

We've booked a few days before using booking.com and the airline and it's always been fine and I'm not sure how last minute makes a difference. But whether you book a day or a year before, it's best to pay by credit card as that gives an extra layer of protection if something does go wrong, so a red flag would be somewhere that doesn't accept credit cards or appear to be an established business.

We did last summer. Booked flights first and then accommodation on air bnb the day before we went.

We did this at new year - booked 24 hours in advance with Jet2 to Lanzarote, it was really good and we got a good deal

We did (and very often do as I'm totally unorganised). I usually go on skyscanner.net for flights and Booking.com for hotels, but if you go in well-recognised sites like loveholidays, Jet2, Tui etc - you won't get scammed.

Do it all the time ( 6 times a year). Booked for Cyprus on 12th may.. went on 15th.
Got back yesterday.
Booked flights with Ryanair ( cheap) villa on booking . Com.
Car rental we have used loads.

Yep, day before! Our holiday to Turkey was cancelled about 8 hours after we should have flown out of Manchester so while we were waiting to reclaim our baggage and car we booked another holiday with Jet2 for the next day flying from Leeds Bradford, managed to go home and get a bit of a sleep in between. Looking back it was probably a bit bonkers but we were packed and ready to go away.
