This might be my new favourite shop.Their sweet selection drew me in. Everything looks so pretty and I’m very excited that they have some Celestial Seasoning teas. But what’s worth buying? I’m very tempted by the homeware but will it last?

I love their big glass jars - 2 years old so far.

AllPlayedOut · 19/05/2025 20:04

Thank you. I do actually need some glass jars.

I just realised today that there are not one but two stores in my city within ten minutes walk of each other. A little odd but I’m certainly not complaining though it could be dangerous.

I buy their stationery, craft supplies and homeware. Great shop

I like their ginger, cardamon and turmeric tea and also their sewing stuff.
I have also bought a very cute mug recently - shaped like a flower.

It's a bit like a more 'grown up' Tiger

Thanks all. I’ll have to check out these sections too. I was in today but I got a bit overwhelmed and didn’t buy anything besides some liquorice fudge for someone.

It is rather reminiscent of Flying Tiger. I do like FT too but this is so much better.

They have liquorice fudge?! I’ve not forgiven Flying Tiger for stopping stocking theirs! Thanks for the heads up @AllPlayedOut .
They do really lovely gifts for kids, cute hair accessories, beads, that sort of thing.
A great selection of kitchen utensils too. We got a mini whisk for hot chocolate and their craft section, specifically needlework and ribbons, is brilliant.

It’s like a cross between FT and IKEA. So reasonably priced. I love it at Christmas 🎄 😊

AllPlayedOut · 19/05/2025 20:24

They do. It’s in a lovely little box like this.

I hate liquorice but a family member adores it and I was so happy to find it.

Loads of different liquorice! I can’t walk past without buying some. Lollipops for 14p, fudge, sticks, lots of it.

AllPlayedOut · 19/05/2025 20:27

Apologies for the bad photo. The box is actually pale blue but you get the idea.

I saw the lollipops today and wanted to buy some but I couldn’t tell what flavour some of them were. I’ll have to examine them more closely.

That’s exactly what it’s like. I’m not much of a Christmas person but now that you’ve mentioned it, I’m excited to see what they’ll have in store then.

I 2nd it being gorgeous at Christmas and with stuff that's so reasonable!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/05/2025 20:50

Their cards are great - cute designs and about 70p, so handy to keep in a drawer for when you forget it’s someone’s birthday. I have quite a few mugs which I like, good shape and weight.

Bit niche, but all our cat’s wet food bowls are little round plates from there (probably meant for sitting out hummus or something) which are perfect - not too flat but not high sided that can give him “whisker fatigue”.
