Anyone bought a reasonably priced iron recently which is really good and they would recommend? Not looking to spend loads.

I'm here for this. Our iron is about 15 years old i have no idea what these new fangled ones do!

A year ago I was fed up with steam generator irons which would start leaking just out of warranty.

I picked up this in Asda https://direct.asda.com/george/electricals/utility/irons-ironing-boards/purple-steam-iron-2400-watts/050058298,default,pd.html?cmpid=ppc--geor-------_-dskwid-_dm&utm_campaign=pla:Home_BAU-_Performance_Max&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=18864434298&gbraid=0AAAAADwhMoC1oIb5Mew78ZyAcOGOhwePs&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiqbBBhCAARIsAJSfZkb63sMVfz70UDHl6V7Me7jz-NkmF_Dk5713x5U1WTLZQZX9SjQVxOUaAt7PEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

It was very cheap and was only intended as a temporary solution until I found a high-performance iron. I have to say it's been a great workhorse for the money. Just the right weight, doesn't weigh a ton and tire out your arm, yet hefty enough to press denim and not feel flimsy.
A fill of water gives a good stream of decent steam, and it even has a steam shot button. It has a sprayer but tbh I don't need to use it.
