Best UK holiday with baby

Our baby will be about 4 months old when him, my husband and I go on a break in late August/early September.

Wanting to avoid flights right now, so good to hear of any good places in the UK.

Please no caravan parks, Pontins, Butlins etc.

Where are you based and how far are you willing to travel? Would you prefer a city, coast or country holiday?

Northumberland is stunning and have the options of coast or country. Enjoyed stays near Alnwick and Bamburgh.
York is a lovely city and we had plenty of day trips here when my dcs were little.
Would you consider Centre Parcs?
