Help! Easyjet flight booked via lastminute.com

About to book a holiday incl an easyjet flight. When I get to the end it's asking me to pay fir something called no problem check in so that I can have boarding passes by email / in the app.

Which implies if I don't, I won't be able to check in online and will have to do it at the airport which I'd like to avoid, I'd like to check in online 24 hrs before like you usually do for an easyjet flight

Anyone have any advice on this please? (Other than don't book with lastminute.com, on this paticular holiday they are about £200 less than any other option I've found!)

is there a reason you’re not booking direct with hotel/eaayjet? If you book direct you can check in etc no issue or charge

@strawberry12345 because it works out over £200 more expensive! I do normally do individual bookings but LM is much cheaper in this instance

So pay it?

I’ve had a Quick Look and it looks like you can still check in 24 hours before even if you don’t buy it. The service is just for them to check you in.

@CountryQueen thank you! I'm not pre-booking a seat via LM as they charge almost double than if you do it direct on EJ. I'm not that bothered about where I sit, but if I can book an aisle seat direct with EJ after booking then I'll happily pay their normal fee!

Let us know how you get on! I think the only time you’d need to check in at the airport is where the airline requires you to do that due to the specific country of travel. Definitely don’t pay LH for this basic task!

I thought easyJet allowed you to check in a month in advance?

Haveapotato · 16/05/2025 11:01

Sorted, thanks all! I didn't pay the special fee (only a fiver but its the principle!), nor did I pay the extortionately marked up LM seat selection fees. Once I'd done the booking it sent me my flight ref and I was able to use that to locate the flights on EJ, check in as @proximalhumerous says you can do it within 30 days which I didn't realise) and select the seats for the usual charge. Just in case it's helpful to anyone in future! Now looking forward to 3 blissful days away in the sun, ALONE!

I did it last year for Greece. It was really easy. You can save your tickets in your phone wallet, you can check in via via the app a week before your flights and then each person just passes the phone along for passport checks. Just need to make sure you have a full battery.

Share the hoarding passes in a family group so you all have a copy and are not reliant on one phone

Yeah that was the bit I couldn't work out ha ha. So we just shared the phone instead. Next time I will look into it a bit more but was the first time doing it.

Just take a screenshot and share via whichever platform you prefer. 😊
