Is there anything you take for energy

BlueBrickRoad · 15/05/2025 17:27

I am completely lacking energy. I could sleep 7/8 hours and I wake exhausted. I slept less hours last night.

I am just so tired. I think stress is contributing.

I am taking an iron, vitamin c, folic acid supplement most mornings. I also started on a new b12 energy shot but centrum.

I am just so exhausted all the time.

HELP

I’m the same. I started taking all of those and felt a bit better although it’s starting to plateau now. I take omega 3 and vitamin d as well. I bought one of everything in the energy section at Boots as I was so fed up.

You need to understand why

Try 8plus hours a night - you might just need a little more sleep

you may be deficient in something like iron - blood test will help rule out anything like that

To be getting good sleep male sure the room is really dark and avoid caffeine sugar and alcohol

LushLemonTart · 15/05/2025 17:33

How old are you? Could it be hormones?

Maybe have some blood tests just to be on the safe side.

I take magnesium 5 in 1 that helps.

LushLemonTart · 15/05/2025 17:35

Can you have a lazy day? I was shattered recently and had a really lazy day which helped.

What's your diet like?

Redhairandhottubs · 15/05/2025 17:36

Monthly B12 jabs have made a massive difference to me and it’s almost immediate. I was taking tablets for years and they didn’t really help at all.

Theunamedcat · 15/05/2025 17:36

Be aware of what tablets you take at the same time for example taking omaprazole might inhibit the absorption rate of the vitamins so you would need to take them separately or they are pointless

Britneyfan · 15/05/2025 17:43

I take spirulina, it’s the only thing I’ve tried that seems to make any difference to my energy levels.

DoNotStandOnRotatingChairs · 15/05/2025 17:43

Vit D. Magic

gamerchick · 15/05/2025 17:47

Do you snore? Sleep apnea makes you exhausted.

3pointmountain · 15/05/2025 17:48

I know it's never what anyone wants to hear, but whats your diet like? Cutting out refined sugar made a massive difference to my energy levels and mood

Maddy70 · 15/05/2025 17:51

Get a blood test done. It's probably iron levels or vitamin b12

lalalalalady · 15/05/2025 17:55

Get a blood test done. I take a multivitamin too and my vid d came back at 18, so it clearly wasn’t enough I’ve now been given 20,000 iu to be taken every other day you made need a high dose to get the levels back to normal.

Disturbia81 · 15/05/2025 18:02

I realised I needed more sleep than I used to and feel much better. I don’t mind going to bed earlier either as saves me snacking!

3girlsmama · 15/05/2025 18:03

Also worth getting your thyroid checked.

BlueBrickRoad · 15/05/2025 18:05

I get yearly bloods nothing and nothing really showed there. I do have low iron for a long time but it did make an improvement.

I got throid checked before.

I’ve just ordered some thank you 🤞

endofthecorridoor · 16/05/2025 08:09

Magnesium seems to stop me slumping in the day and I sleep better 8 hours

UrbanMonstrosity · 16/05/2025 08:12

Try liquid iron. Spatone or floradix.
What is your life like? You might be exhausted because you’re doing a lot.
Tryto take time out for yourself todo the things you enjoy.

FloraBotticelli · 16/05/2025 08:14

Food! What do you eat?

Perfectlystill · 16/05/2025 08:17

Do you exercise? That gives me energy although obviously you need some energy to get going. It's cumulative though, so once you start exercising you soon get a taste for it.

Dreichweather · 16/05/2025 08:18

Drinking more water help me.
