Does anyone use one of those knee cushions to sleep?

I've hip pain at the moment. I sleep on my side. It is making it worse. I read I should sleep with a cushion between my knees. I briefly remember doing so 20 years ago when pregnant. Now I see you can buy cushions made for that purpose. Will any be suitable? Cheap ones? Does it need to be a specific material or filling?

I use one all the time, partly because of a twisted pelvis a number of years ago and because I’ve lost weight and my knees are bony now!
I bought this one from Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/4ziB5ng and it took a little while to get used to but makes a big difference. I would recommend you give it a go.

I bought one from amazon but didn't get on with it. Still, it's worth a try

I use one all the time, bought from Amazon. Really helps with hip issue. Also have back pain and it helps with that. I definitely recommend using one.

I find a normal pillow is fine and the knee one felt weird. Easier to just have a spare pillow on the bed too.

Bought one. Rubbish.

I just use a normal pillow between my knees. Have done since having spd with my first baby 13 years ago.

I have a knee pillow but it slips around during the night....

I use this one and couldn’t be without it now!

I use a squishy pillow cuddly one of mg DDs bought me. It’s perfect.

I use a normal pillow, does the trick. I have lower back issues as well as occasional hip ones.

TamzinGrey · 13/05/2025 23:34

I chopped a normal pillow in half and stitched the side up. Just the right size and works perfectly.

I have one because due to bony knees, it’s memory foam and I find it a little hard, and a bit sweaty (but then my whole bed is, bloody Emma mattress 😡) but otherwise does the trick.
Mine has a strap to keep it attached to one leg which is useful if you are a tosser/turner.
