When buying ready made curtains how do you know which measurement is which?

If it says 168 x 229cms is the width the first measurement or the drop? I need some that are 65” / 165cms drop and 90” / 228 cms wide and don’t know if the measurements are the right way round or not!

Due to a housekeeping faux pas I need to replace them fairly urgently!

Width x length(drop)

Look at other sizes in the same range. If it says 48 x 92, then you can be pretty sure that it is 48 wide and 92 long, so the first measurement will be width across the range.

You’d be looking for curtains advertised as 228/165

So if you need 65” drop (length) and 90” width then you would need to look for a pack thats

90 x 65 although I think standard ready made the closest drop you’ll find will be 68”.

Just make sure that you measure your windows correctly including the length of the curtain rail and not just the window and allowed for a decent amount of fullness in the curtain.
