I’d say intermittent fasting coupled with Keto. Worked amazingly for me, I’m only 1 inch taller than you and lost a stone in a month for a holiday last year.

outside of that, Mounjaro did it for me this year. Worked like a godsend for me, and I’m a huge skeptic with these things.

What was your bmi when you went on mounjaro?
I did think about trying to get some of that

mos kept basically low/no carbs and lots of fish etc

I’m the same weight and height! Also need to lose a stone. I can vouch for intermittent fasting with the fast 800, if you stick to it. I did lose weight on that (mine is meno belly)
Walking, weights. Willpower.

BMI before I started MJ was 30. It’s now 23 or 25 (seem to get differing answers on it).

Fasting wise I always do 18:6 so window to eat is between 1 and 7.

i gave up alcohol and caffeine and the effect on my sleep has been insane. Now I’m off the MJ I don’t snack as much as I sleep better. Sleep hygiene is by far the thing that’s made the biggest lasting effect on hunger/snacks. Soon as I gave up caffeine it changed. The MJ is no longer in my system as I am at a good weight but I will admit that the effects of not snacking due to sleeping better is the thing that’s been the biggest game changer for me.

Comefromaway · 12/05/2025 23:49

I’m 5 ft 3 and was 11 stone. I’m now 10 stone. It took me about 2-3 months to lose half a stone then another 4-5 months to lose the rest. But I’ve kept it off for 3 years.

4 months on MJ and I lost nearly 3 stone. Which is a LOT. I think I lost more because of the better sleep. Hence not feeling so snacky or peckish even though I am now off the MJ.
If there’s one thing I recommend above all, it is to cut alcohol down to minimum and cut caffeine out completely. I do have the odd decaf just to have a comforting hot drink.
It’s insane how well sleep itself works. I had a super late night a few weeks ago and the next day I just wanted to eat lunch before it even hit 10am and the entire day I felt ravenous.

So does it actually help you sleep better then ?

Yes the cutting out caffeine is what helped with sleeping. Massively. I stopped having the odd glass of wine during the week too. I’d say both of those things coupled together is what made the bigger difference. You only realise how much impact they have when you cut them out.
I don’t think I’ll ever have caffeine again 😂
