Nice day and night out in London with DD (12)

I have a rare weekend with just my oldest DD coming up and I'd like to spoil her a bit with something fun in London (we'll be travelling in from Surrey). She doesn't like theatre. She does like shopping (although we do a lot of that!). I think she'd love a spa but pretty sure she's too young. I'd like to do something in the daytime, then somewhere cool for dinner. Any suggestions? Thank you!

What kind of things is she interested in? London has museums and galleries for every concievable type of interest.

This afternoon tea is great fun even if you aren't particularly interested in science

It's in South Ken so near Albertopolis an the museums there. Science museum is fun for children if that's your kind of thing.

I'm really surprised that you would say of a child that age 'they don't like theatre' because it's kind of like saying I don't want a book, I've read one! There are so many different types of show - immersive inc escape room types, musicals, plays, comedies. The Play that Goes Wrong is very light and funny for example but there are lots of family type shows aimed at older children - musicals based on films like Mean Girls. I wouldn't necessarily rule out a show unless she finds theatre difficult for health reasons as there are so many great choices.

The Pan Pacific Hotel's spa specialises in kids and parent treatments. Hotel Gym London | Pan Pacific London | Sensory Wellbeing, and she could use the swimming pool too. Wahaca restaurants (there are several across London) are cool and affordable, the Southbank one is based in 8 recycled shipping containers Wahaca Southbank, London - Restaurant Review, Menu, Opening Times

She just doesn't get excited by theatre. I've suggested various different shows over the years, and she always says she'd just prefer the cash!

Thank @xmasdealhunter I'll look into that spa.

Also like the afternoon tea idea, thank you @ABoyCalledBasil
