I’ve booked it for a few weeks time and I’ve never been to a spa before. It includes a half hour treatment, plus lunch and use of the sauna and spa. I’m honestly wondering whether I’m going to be, dare I say it, a tad bored? I have two young children, very busy job and I’m really not used to just sitting still with my thoughts. Is there anything else to do apart from sit in the sauna or steam room?

I find them a bit strange too OP.

I like the treatments bit, but I can only be in a steam or sauna for 10 mins at a time!
is there a pool?
a few lengths, then read by the side of the pool wrapped up in a dressing gown, with the knowledge that you have no distractions or nothing else to do.
or take an iPad and binge watch something you haven't caught up with in ages

Depends on the spa facilities. Look it up on Google.
Some have pools and gyms and hot rooms and cold rooms - like a centre parks style spa.
Some boutique spas are tiny.
Try it. If you hate it don't do it again.
(I hate massages and get bored. But I don't mind a facial and prefer a manicure. I like a pool, but get bored with nothing to do, although wouldn't rear myself to a new book or magazine to read.)
