Do Celebrities Chefs actually cook in their own restaurant

Has anyone actually seen a celebrity chef in their own restaurant?

Not always, but yes.

Yeah, quite a few times. I suppose it'll depend how often they are local to their restaurant...

Michel roux was in la gavroche. He was in chefs whites but basically came to check on every table. Not sure if he did any cooking. But he was so lovely.

I've seen Tom Kitchin at Kitchin, Michel Roux at Le Gavroche, Raymond Blanc at le manoir (he came into the cookery school whilst I was there), Lisa Allen at Northcote and Monica Galetti at Mere.

Depends who the chef is ie how famous, how many restaurants they have. Not Gordon Ramsay. Alistair Little used to back in the day. Micheal Roux did but once at a certain level no they don't. Lisa Allen is back at Northcote but depends on the term celebrity chef. My idea is own 1 and make it the best you can not dilute the brand

Yes, I think some do. Aldo Zilli was at Zilli Fish in London when my husband and I ate with my baby daughter 19 years ago - in typical Italian style he made a big fuss of her. More famous they are then I think the less likely you are to see them. ….The staff at my local Jamie’s admitted they hadn’t ever seen Mr Oliver!!
