What’s a good 70% dark chocolate? NOT LINDT

WildFlowerBees · 11/05/2025 19:35

Any recommendations for a good dark chocolate? Lindt tastes a bit odd I think. Looking for a good quality creamy chocolate that’s no lower than 70% without palm oil. Thank you!

G&B cooking chocolate is alright

Defiantlynot41 · 11/05/2025 19:42

Waitrose own brand or No1 anything 70% or above is lovely

green & blacks also ok, or hotel chocolat

carkerpartridge · 11/05/2025 19:42

Lidl and Aldi both do good ranges of chocolate which are great quality and very good value

Definitely Lidl
it has the word ‘gross’ in the title. Black sleeve.
Ive tried them all and this one is my fave

I agree

I like the Sainsburys taste the difference 90%. It’s one of the only non basic products I buy.

WoodlandLove · 11/05/2025 19:45

Divine fair trade. Both ethical and scrumptious. Edited to say their dark currant and hazelnut is especially delectable 😋

GRCP · 11/05/2025 19:46

G&B 70% has no palm oil

minnienono · 11/05/2025 19:48

Lidl!

TheNinthLock · 11/05/2025 19:53

I love the Aldi Moser Roth 72% one.

HowManyDucks · 11/05/2025 21:02

Waitrose own brand! I love their 85 and 90 %

Gonk123 · 11/05/2025 21:03

Hotel chocolat or green and blacks

MountainBiker · 11/05/2025 21:11

Another vote for Lidl!

lighttheworldagain · 11/05/2025 21:13

The Moser Roth 70% from Aldi, the one that comes as 5 small bars in a cardboard sleeve. They are wonderful, dark and rich and smooth. The pack is a sort of purplish colour with a few gold lines.

Bfmamma · 11/05/2025 21:16

YOKOKO is delicious, it has a good range of flavours too.

Thank you for your valuable input. Would you prefer chicken nuggets and alphabet spaghetti instead?

I had G&Bs tonight. Can so taste the palm oil

Trovindia · 11/05/2025 21:53

The Waitrose single origin ones are delicious, they all taste different.

uncomfortablydumb60 · 11/05/2025 23:03

The Moser roth one from Aldi is good

BestIsWest · 11/05/2025 23:06

Sainsbury’s Dominican Republic 72% is really nice.

asparagusffern · 11/05/2025 23:52

I like G&B 85% which I find is (strangely) less bitter than their 70%

M&S have very nice bars in various percentages between 70 and 100

lovegoodlovegood · 12/05/2025 00:10

I like the Aldi moser roth one as well although it seems to have gone up in price

It's all so expensive now 😭. They stopped doing the G&B stand alone mini bars. Bad if you have no self control like me.

Bloody economies of scale.
