Is anyone else struggling to place an order at Boots?

I have tried so many times even completely emptying my basket and starting from scratch but it keeps coming back saying there's a technical error and to try again

Very frustrating

I ordered something for click and collect a couple of weeks ago, it seemed to go through ok and payment was taken but it got stuck at "despatched" for a week after the due date for collection, I had to phone up and get a refund, luckily they had it in store.

I had a large Boots online order cancelled by the pharmacist recently, without explanation or good reason. It was cancelled two days after the date I expected to receive it, which particularly annoyed me. There was nothing remotely controversial about the order, just regular stuff for the family like toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, vitamins, that sort of stuff, using three for two offers. I complained but got nowhere, just bland platitudes from customer service.

There’s been a few cyber attacks recently (M&S and Co-op are badly affected) so I would be on the lookout for an announcement from Boots

I collected a prescription earlier this week and a click and collect about a week ago without any issues

The hacking thing did cross my mind.

I've never had problems before but I've tried over ten times now so I'm done. I'll shop elsewhere!

boots’ tech infrastructure has always seemed pretty crap to me. Have had cancelled retail orders but more irritatingly endless prescription issues (“oh, it’s been returned to The Spine”- what???) As for booking workplace-funded flu jabs…. Pffft.

Would not surprise me in the least if they’d been hacked.

There is also a fake Boots website. When I google, it actually comes up ahead of the real Boots website, so I almost always click on it first before backing out. Make sure you’re on the proper one. But yes, ordering photos through Boots has driven me to tears before.

Yes, it has always been very poor. I remember about 15 years ago pre-app you had to go to a touchscreen in the store to scan your card and see your offers, it was stuck one day and the staff member logged in and it was MS-DOS, when Windows had been around for years. The app is dreadful and I've had problems with booking jabs too. Luckily we've got a big branch near work so I don't have to order online very often.

Local one is closed as till system down so would reckon they might be struggling with a cyber attack!

I placed an order yesterday and had a dispatch email this morning. I didn't realise they were having problems so I'll keep a look out for delivery.
