Looking for a nice walk in Catshill/bromsgrove

Am meeting an old friend and the middle point between our towns is Catshill/bromsgrove.

Neither of us have any idea of this location.

We are looking for a nice walk/hike ..country pub or cafe.

Anyone know the area and have any suggestions?

Tardebigge locks is a nice 5 mile walk up and down the canal and not far from Bromsgrove. Park at the church and walk down to the tow path. The Tardebigge pub does really nice food

I live in Bromsgrove and can't really think of something suitable. Lots of pubs and country walks but combining them would entail walking down tiny country lanes. I assume you are both coming on the M5? If so a trip to the village of Belbroughton is a possibility as several nice pubs and you can wander through the village. If the weather is bad there is a flagship m&s about 2 miles away.
