Brown/red discharge like periods on cycle day 16!?

Hi guys,

so I have a 5 year old and TTC with the second one in my second cycle I was on the pills for 3 years and got off them around 7 months ago. This cycle I am on day 16 and ovulation is suppose to happen 11 may I do sometimes ovulate slightly early or late. However today morning I have got discharge quite heavy which started of dark brown and it’s now light brown/red. It is coming out on a pad aswell so a light heavy. I am confused what this could be as periods are not suppose to be due for 2 weeks. Quite worried aswell anyone else had this?? I also feel a little sting/ burning when I pee but otherwise no pain in tummy or fever and feel well generally well.

It’s not unusual to bleed a bit on ovulation day. This sounds a bit heavier than what I think most women would get, but certainly spotting around ovulation is normal and doesn’t mean anything sinister. All other things being fine, of course. I’d keep an eye on the stinging/burning though. I definitely found this happened a lot more frequently after I had my first and as I got older.

It definitely is more then just spotting so that’s why I am concerned, it’s the second day and it’s still there gets sometimes it’s on a the pad sometimes just there wiping, going to speak to the doctor tomorrow just in case x
