Wimbledon tickets - app and photo ID

I got 2 tickets in the Wimbledon ballot and asked my Aunt to come with me. I've just had a message to accept the tickets and download the Wimbledon app. Looking at it, it seems that I have to transfer my guest ticket to my Aunt which means she will need the app too. Not sure what to do as she doesn't have a smartphone and I'm also not sure she had photo ID as she doesn't drive and hasn't been abroad for years. Does anyone know how we can get round this? I haven't been to Wimbledon before and I didn’t realise you couldn't just download or print out a copy of the ticket.

When I’ve been in the past with my husband, only I have had the app & the tickets on my phone but we have both needed photo id.

I went with my DD last year. I had the tickets on my phone and that wasn't an issue. However be aware that you have to show your tickets every time you re-enter the court - at least on centre court - so your aunt couldn't (for example) nip to the loo or go and get some food and leave you sitting in your seats as she wouldn't be able to get back in without showing her ticket. If you're planning to stick together the entire time it's not an issue.

You do t need to send your aunt the tickets. You need to get the app. The tickets will appear on your app a few days before you go. You just show the QR code for scanning for both tickets as you go in together. No need to print out.

When I've gone as long as both tickets were in the app on my phone, we could both get in. It's more relevant for people who plan to meet up inside the AELTC.

Still not sure about photo ID though...

She needs some kind of photo ID to vote, so hopefully she has something.

Can she apply for a citizens ID card (if they'll accept this)?

She might have a railcard, I'll have to check
