We've been invited to a wedding near Pleshey Near Chelmsford in Essex. We could do it as a day trip from where we live but were wondering whether to stay for a night? Pleshey seems to be the nearest village. Is it nice? If not, is there anywhere else in taxi distance which would be good to stay? It's not really worth doing a Premier Inn (much as I like Premier Inns) just if it's a pretty area with charming places to stay. As a kind of treat weekend.
