Did/do you have grandparent in laws?

Due to both PIL and myself and DH meeting each other young, I have been in the fortunate position of having a full set of grandparent in laws at the beginning of our relationship. As my last remaining one is becoming increasingly frail I have been feeling reflective and wondering how common it is to have grandparent in laws. I am 43 so I know I am fortunate to have parents at my age but I have had my last grandparent in law for 23 years.

DHs grandmother was at our wedding and our children do remember her. She died when they were 6&8. I met his other grandmother (our daughter is named after her) and his grandfathers dies not long before we met.

My last grandparent died when I was 19, two had died before I was born, so I consider my children lucky to have grandparents, and to have met one great grandparent.

Yes, my DH has 6 living grandparents (due to divorce and remarriage before he was born, he views them all as grandparents) and when we met I had four (I now have one).
When our DDs were born they had 9 living great grandparents, including the “step” ones.

My husband and I met and married late. He only met one of my grandparents (who died at the age of 95 two years after we married).

I didn’t meet any of his. They all died long before we met.

When DH and I met we were in our mid 20s. He had three of his grandparents still alive and I had two. They all died before we were in our mid 30s.

DH's grandmother met DD1 but died when I was pregnant with DD2. Our last remaining grandparent was my Grandpa and he met both DDs but they were 3 and 1 when he died so sadly don't remember him.

My grandma died in January. I'm 49 and dh is 54. So he had a gran-in-law until then. He knew 3 of my grandparents. His family have historically had babies late and mine had babies early so his grandparents had been dead a long time, I never met any of them.

Yes we do. We’re both 33 and have 1 grandparent each left. I knew/know 3 of his grandparents and he knew/knows 2 of mine.

Both me and my DH have one grandparent left each. We both had two at the beginning of our relationship, but have since lost one.

We're in our 30's.
