Alternative's to Police/Social Media for missing people

Just that really. We've recieved update from police that they won't persue a missing person report due to age & circumstances (I've called to check, ask for the official process to dispute/escalate we intend to try & re-file at another police station in the mean time)

We would really like to avoid social media though as it's a minor (16) & doesn't have any means so highly likely to respond to any offers of "help" & we know for every 10 people who will do the right thing it only takes 1 person to change that.

We've looked at the salvation army, if only for support/back up. but they seem to be out of date these days.

He's definitely missing. Please no "call friends or family's" "contact him via mobile"

Any ideas ?

Please do go to another police station and try again. It might also be helpful to contact Missing People- they have an advice line and might be able to offer support re the police report Home - Missing People
