Baby swallowed/breathed in bath water. Anxious

I’m worried over something that happened earlier and hope someone can put my mind at ease, please?

She seems fine now, fast asleep, but I am not able to relax. I was bathing my 5 month old earlier and a small stacking cup of water went over her face (she was splashing about and her fist flailed up and knocked it clean out of my hand). Her mouth was open at the time and she took in some water. She immediately started coughing and spluttering and was red in the face. This lasted about 30 seconds. She then went back to splashing and spat up a tiny amount of watery milk sick a couple of minutes after.

As far as I could tell she seemed fine after and fed and went to sleep as normal. I don’t know how I would know if she breathed any water in, and I’m concerned about the risk of dry drowning?

She hasn’t coughed since but is asleep so I can’t tell if she’s drowsy or anything.

She will be absolutely fine, try not to worry.

She will absolutely not dry drown from that. Small babies and children swallow bath water all the time, sometimes it goes down the wrong way but this was only a tiny bit. Try to relax.

Absolutely fine. I think this happened at nearly every bath all three of my DS’s ever had when they were babies.
