Would anyone like to share how much their extension cost?

We’ve had one quote back so far for a 6mx6m flat roof extension and shell only is £195k

I've posted in property/diy and seems the common explanation for this is that they don’t want the job? But even so, this has worried me.

can anyone share how much their recent extensions cost? I’m in Oxford.

6x5 m extension (brick, one wall glass, pitched, tile roof), £60k in 2018, NW.

Building material costs have since increased enormously.

9m x 4m single storey with a gable roof and bifolds £80k + VAT for the build (inc materials) in SW London last year. Then £25k for the kitchen.

We had several quotes and none were that much. And ours was only last year, so I do think that yours is insanely high and I doubt other quotes will be that much.

We paid 85k for our conservatory removing, knocking the kitchen, garage and dining room into an open plan space and also extending the house out to where the conservatory was. This price was so building costs, kitchen supplied and fitted and decorated. We had ours done in 2022 and got in just before prices went through the roof. We booked it the year before but the builder had a 9 month waiting list and he honoured the price we was quoted. It would be much more now

Was just starting to look at this and if that’s normal I’ll think I’ll have to shelve this idea! OP have you had any more quotes since you first posted?
