When i moved in to my house about 3 years ago . I bought really cheap mattress i think they were 50 -80 . They are awful now you can feel the springs quite badly so I need to replace asap. I don't know if I should buy complete mattress or just get mattress toppers.

I'd buy a new mattress.

Well can you afford a new mattress? I would get the best you can, and a topper for those you can’t replace

I am in the same boat - what I did was put two duvets on top of the mattress with the sheet on top, now it’s so comfy.

If you can afford it buy new and the best you can afford. A mattress topper won’t offer any support just cushion the springs .
i highly rate ikea mattresses so much so my DP replaced his and his kids to Ikea ones and they all love them.
They’re not hugely expensive either

Replace the mattress!

Just get a new mattress, if you can afford a decent one. We bought an expensive mattress but it's too firm so I bought a topper, which does make it more comfortable...however the topper needs pulling up every couple of days which is a faff. I've tried various ways of securing it to no avail and I can't bring myself to buy another mattress as the original was expensive and is only about 3 years old.
