Ready meals for us but would like inspiration for other nights! Looking forward to my Cathedral City potato & bacon bake.

Chicken stir fry which I'm not regretting as it's too hot to cook

Now regretting I mean!

Phew! Too hot to prep and cook tea!
We enjoyed cold cucumber salad ( thinly sliced cukes, vinegar, sugar, salt, bit of oil and fresh chopped Dill weed), mounds of thickly sliced smoked Ham, crisps ( DS's favourite) a platter of fresh Italian bakery bread and butter, Angel Delight and fresh raspberries, lemon fizzy water, and that was enough!

Stew, boiled potatoes and broccoli today. Had to be something easy (stew was out of the freezer) because DH was doing something and I wasn't sure when he would be back.... and had to be something soft because I had a very deep filling done yesterday morning and I still have toothache.

recklessgran ooh Jersey Royals already - they usually don’t appear until June. Where did you get them from?

Waitrose has jersey royals-had them yesterday lightly steamed and then tossed in butter, sea salt and chives. Gorgeous!!!

We had home made chicken nuggets mash potatoes gravy and weirdly a salad.

We had tomato rice, chicken thighs and sausages (needed eating) in orange, saffron and cumin and paprika, with homemade orangey basil coleslaw and red pepper orange and sherry sauce on the side. I made it up and it was very nice except I undercooked the brown rice a wee bit. Which pissed me off unduly.

I was out helping at our local theatre tonight so went for a Chinese takeaway on my way home so it was a yung chow fried rice with some gravy on top. Also got some spring rolls but didn’t eat them so they’ll go in the air fryer for lunch tomorrow.

We roasted some chicken drumsticks in the AirFryer, M&S green goddess salad with crispy pancetta that needed using up, chargrilled asparagus & chicken rice with cheesy bread & butter.

Minimal cooking but used up bits and pieces from the fridge.
